BIOGRAPHY
With nearly two decades of experience in drafting patents and a decade as the owner of a successful boutique firm in the field, Adv. Yoni Erez has extensive experience in drafting, examination procedures and managing patent portfolios for universities and academic institutions, companies in the fields of software, electronics, robotics, cyber, weapons, and many more.
Yoni’s work includes identifying patentable inventions, drafting patent applications and identifying innovation versus previous publications during the examination process. He has took part in building complex patent portfolios protecting various aspects of products and services of successful tech companies, as well as companies that evolved from academic research. He also assists his clients in due diligence during investments/transactions, and advises on patent infringement/revocation issues, as well as patent objection proceedings.
In the public sphere, Yoni lectures at various events and conferences of the Israel Bar Association, as well as courses in patent law at leading Israeli universities.
Yoni’s clientele is diverse and ranges from start-ups to mature companies, investment funds, and academic institutions. He represents international corporations, as well as medium-sized companies in academia, medical device, tech companies, and more.
