BIOGRAPHY
With over 50 years o9f experience, Nachman Cohen Zedek is well-versed in numerous aspects of intellectual property.
Nachman is the son of the late S. Cohen Zedek who established Cohen Zedek & Spisbach, the first intellectual property firm in what was then Palestine, in 1927. Nachman joined his father’s firm (by then Cohen Zedek & Rapaport) as a partner in 1985.
Nachman was the President of the Israel chapter of AIPPI – world’s leading International Organization dedicated to the development and improvement of laws for the protection of intellectual property. Nachman was also a popular lecturer on IP issues at various institutes. He is well-versed in numerous aspects of intellectual property litigation, including representation of international companies before the Israel Patent Office and the Courts.
Nachman also has expertise in patent prosecution, intellectual property portfolio management, providing strategic advice, negotiating terms, and counselling start-ups. He has counselled clients in large due diligence matters, and rendered opinions on infringement, validity and patentability issues.
