With over 30 years of experience and a distinguished background in electrical engineering and law, Burt Magen leverages his technical expertise and legal knowledge to advise clients with respect to a broad range of technologies, including electrical circuits, wireless communication, networking technology, semiconductors, software and medical devices.
His work includes patent prosecution, strategic IP counseling, management of large patent portfolios, negotiating and drafting agreements, and supporting clients in the development and commercialization of cutting-edge innovations. In addition, Burt has been involved in all aspects of patent litigation, including analysis, discovery and trial.
Burt’s technical experience includes serving as a design engineer at Data General Corporation, where he specialized in the design of computer hardware and software. Admitted to the Supreme Court of California and multiple federal courts, Burt Magen is a trusted advisor for companies ranging from start-ups to global corporations. He has also authored several publications, such as “Article of Manufacture Claims for Computer Related Inventions,” showcasing his thought leadership in advanced claim drafting and amendment writing.
