BIOGRAPHY
Austin is an Associate Attorney in Pearl Cohen’s New York office and a member of the U.S. Corporate Practice Group.
He advises startups and emerging growth companies, particularly in the U.S. and Israel, guiding them from formation to exit. Additionally, he provides counsel to strategic investors and venture capital funds in corporate finance transactions and represents buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions.
His practice includes advising clients on a broad range of commercial and licensing transactions, with a focus on negotiating complex agreements and building strategic partnerships. He also leads clients through regulatory compliance and government-facing legal challenges, including HSR filings and obtaining premerger clearances, CFIUS declarations, FinCEN and OFAC compliance, U.S. export controls, and state and federal government-sponsored funding programs
Before joining Pearl Cohen, Austin served as a Board Member on Manhattan Community Board 4 in New York City. He earned his J.D. from New York Law School and B.A. from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School.
