Chantal Balla is a Scientific Advisor in the Patent and Intellectual Property Groups at Pearl Cohen’s Tel Aviv office. Chantal has extensive experience in dealing with patent applications in a wide range of technical fields, including telecommunication, cyber technology, and image processing. She received her M.Sc in Information Systems from the Technion University in Haifa and her MBA in Patent Law from Haifa University.
Prior to entering the patent field, Chantal worked for over 20 years in various telecom companies, such as Rafael Advanced Defense, Bell Communication Research, IBM, Elbit Systems, and Motorola Solutions. There, she held versatile system engineering positions covering wireless communication standards such as Cellular (3G / 4G) and WLAN. In her capacity as a standard committee member she was repeatedly awarded for excellence in 3GPP standard contributions.
