We are looking for a Patent Paralegal to join our STEM Practice Group in the New York office. You will be trained in patent paralegal practices as part of this role. Our work focuses on a wide variety of technologies, including medical devices, computer software and hardware, AI, automotive, and telecommunications. As a Patent Paralegal, you will support attorneys in their practice by assisting with patent prosecution and associated paperwork, communications, and docketing. This is a hybrid position; you will work from our midtown office at least three days a week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff in preparing legal documents.
- Draft and file patent documents and forms with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
- Correspond with clients and foreign associates regarding patent applications.
- Manage, organize, and maintain files for multiple ongoing matters.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive materials.
- Track, calendar, and maintain docket deadlines for multiple patent portfolios.
Job Expectations
- A four-year undergraduate degree and desire to learn; previous patent paralegal experience is a bonus.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Willingness and ability to accept changing assignments and priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Suite tools, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Hiring Salary Range
$ 54,000 – $66,000
